Swift Current broke to a 15-5 lead but Delisle rallied to an 18-16 lead at the half.

        In the provincial semis, the Wilcox Athol Murray College of Notre Dame Hounds stomped the Delisle Rebels 63-21 as Amie Leslie scored 18. Ryley Loeppky paced the Rebels with 8. Notre Dame built a 19-10 lead after one quarter and were never threatened, registering a 19-3 run in the second frame as they built a 38-13 lead at the half.

        In the other semi, the Prince Albert Carlton Crusaders dumped the Estevan Elecs 45-31 as Karen Glass scored 12. Samara Bush paced Estevan with 9. Carlton built a 12-11 lead after one quarter and extended it to 20-17 at the half. With the Elecs having difficulty resolving the Crusaders zone, Carlton extended its lead to double digits and held on for the win.

        In the bronze medal match, the Estevan Elecs defeated the Delisle Rebels 43-38 as Lesleigh Stubel scored 16 and Samara Bush 11. Danielle Lensen paced Delisle with 18.

        In the final, the Wilcox Athol Murray College of Notre Dame Hounds whipped the Prince Albert Carlton Crusaders 63-43 as Julie Johnson scored 19 and Aime Leslie 16. Stacey Laing led Carlton with 20. Karen Glass added 17. The Hounds had captured the 3A crown a year earlier and were stepping up to 5A play. “The girls stepped up to the challenge,” coach Wayne Morrison told the Saskatoon Star-Phoenix.
