In the provincial semis, the Foam Lake Panthers whipped the Maple Creek Composite Redmen 96-74 as Brad Helgason scored 37, Pat Helgason 30, Joe West 14, Brian Lee 7, Robert Beckett 4, Chad Chorney 3 and Chris Abtosway 1. Luke Deis led the Redmen with 28. Gerard Messier added 13, Mark Elderkin 12, Clint Drever 7, Craig Eckart 4, Mason Chant 4, Robbie Jackson 2, Wade Dupont 2 and Jason Williams 2.
In the other semi, the Clavet Cougars nipped the St. Walburg Saints 44-43 as Barry Low scored 19, Evan Clarke 7, Mark Wiens 7, Rob Thode 5, Jim Mark 4 and Ryan Voice 2. Keith Yasinski led the Saints with 17. Chris Hritzuk added 10, Ken Yasinski 8, Jason Leer 6 and Dean Schlekewy 2.

In the final, the Foam Lake Panthers defeated the Clavet Cougars 68-54 as Pat Helgason scored 29, Joe West 16, Robert Beckett 9, Brian Lee 7, Brad Helgason 4, Darrin Barber 2 and Chad Chorney 1. Mark Wiens paced the Cougars with 16. Barry Low added 11, Evan Clarke 10, Jim Mark 7, Rob Thode 4, Ryan Voice 4, Rob Linn 1 and Jeremy Bennett 1. The Panthers led 47-19 at the half but almost squandered the lead. Panthers coach Garth Anderson told the Regina Leader-Post “they just got lazy on defence for a while. Then they got in foul trouble and had to back off and couldn’t be aggressive. If you can’t be aggressive in basketball, you’ll lose a lead real quick.” Pat Helgason said “for a while there, it felt heartbreaking. But we pulled ourselves together.” Panthers assistant Whitey Herzog was a former major league basketball manager.
