MacKenzie Brennan added 14, Ryan Keizer 14 and Elon Wilkie 12. Ethan Craig paced the Marlins with 27. Shane Pendergast added 10 and Stephen Young 9.
In the semis, the top-seeded Charlottetown Colonel Gray-1 Colonels clubbed the 4th-seeded Elmsdale Westisle Wolverines 81-62 after leading 50-22 at the half. Alex Campbell led the Colonels with 25. Olexander Sokolenko added 12 and Jordan Reid 12. Conor Herget paced the Wolverines with 32. Mackenzie Brennan added 17.
In the other semi, the 3rd-seeded Charlottetown Rural-1 Raiders edged the 2nd-seeded Summerside Three Oaks-1 Axemen 86-83. Adam Ryan paced the Raiders with 35. Paynter led the Axemen with 17. Logan MacDougall added 16.
In the bronze medal match, the 2nd-seeded Summerside Three Oaks-1 Axemen dusted the 4th-seeded Elmsdale Westisle Wolverines 83-55. The Axemen broke to a 13-2 lead and extended the margin to 28-7 after one quarter and 48-17 at the half. Matt Tanton paced the Axemen with 31. Logan MacDougall added 17, including 5 treys, and Chris Richard 9. Connor Herget paced the Wolverines with 29, along with 19 boards and 4 blocks. Elon Wilkie added 10 and Mackenzie Brennan 9. The Wolverines also included Ryan Keizer.
In the final, the top-seeded Charlottetown Colonel Gray-1 Colonels dispatched the 3rd-seeded Charlottetown Rural-1 Raiders 73-64 after leading 15-10 after one quarter and 35-29 at the half. Alex Campbell led the Colonels with 26 points and 14 boards. Matt Connolly scored 20 and Yousef Sefau 16, along with 15 boards. Adam Ryan led the Raiders with 32. Isaac Kirkland added 12 and Zack Wall 12. Connolly hit two treys to ignite an 8-2 run that gave the Colonels a 51-44 lead after three quarters. Gray rode an 18-7 run in the fourth to take a 70-59 lead with 1:26 to play. Tournament MVP Alex Campbell told the Charlottetown Guardian that “we went on a run in the third. Matt Connolly had a few threes. We had the mentality to stop them and score, stop and score. Coaches (J Hammer, Lucas Squires and Greg Morrison) drew up a great game plan. It was textbook.” Rural hit 6-8 from the line in the final 2:18. The Raiders had tied the score at 52-52 with 7:40 to play on three free throws by Adam Ryan. But Gray notched two consecutive three-point plays to take command. “I just lost it, man,” said Campbell. “I threw the ball up in the air, started hugging my teammates. It’s the greatest feeling ever, no better feeling.”
