In the quarterfinals, the Montague Vikings defeated the Hampshire Bluefield Bobcats 61-52. Montague led 30-26 at the half. Cory Roche paced Montague with 18. Warren Keefe added 14, Zach White 12 and Matt Nobles 9. Kevin MacQuaid led the Bobcats (coached by Darryl Boudreau) with 21. Mike Jones added 13. Doug Smith and Garrett Toole each added 10, while Chris Adams scored 8.

        In the semis, the Charlottetown Rural Raiders defeated the Montague Vikings 69-49. Charlottetown Rural led 42-35 at the half and romped. Nathan Clarke paced Rural with 23 points and 7 boards. Mike Keliher scored 18 and grabbed 17 boards. Cameron MacAskill scored 8 and had 6 boards. Kyle Seaman scored 7, while Morgan Seeber scored 7 and had 6 boards. Warren Keefe paced Montague (coached by former UPEI assistant Dale Ferish) with 11. Zack White added 10 and 6 boards, while Matt Nobles scored 8.

        In the other semi, Summerside Three Oaks Axemen defeated the Charlottetown Colonel Gray Colonels 77-58. Three Oaks led 31-27 at the half. Morgan Carlile led Summerside Three Oaks Axemen with 26 points, 14 boards and 4 blocks. Jordan Richard added 18 points and 5 boards. Ian Kelly scored 15, while Matt Pauptit scored 6. Evan Killorn and Martin Manning each scored 14 for Colonel Gray. Manning added 7 boards. Matt MacMillan scored 13 and grabbed 8 boards, while Jordan Drake scored 12. Jordan Richard got hot as the Axemen ripped off a decisive 10-0 run early in the second half.

        In the bronze medal match, the Charlottetown Colonel Gray Colonels defeated the Montague Vikings 56-42. The Colonels took a 10-point lead at the half and romped. Matt MacMillan led Colonel Gray with 17 points, 14 boards and seven steals. Jordan Drake added 16 and Martin Manning added 11, along with 8 boards; Cory Roach led Montague with 11. Lucas Squires added 9, while Zak White scored 4 and grabbed 11 boards. Colonel Gray led 33-23 at the half.

        In the final, the Charlottetown Rural Raiders defeated the Summerside Three Oaks Axemen 60-50 as Nathan Clarke scored 27 and grabbed 9 boards. Cameron MacAskill added 15 and 3 boards, while Mike Keliher scored 5 and grabbed 5 boards. Summerside Three Oaks Axemen led 33-24 at the half. But the Raiders rode a 14-2 second half run to a lead and coasted to the win. Morgan Carlile paced the Axemen with 22, along with 7 boards. Jordan Richard added 11 and 9 boards, Alex Campbell 9 and Ian Kelly scored 6. “We played well the first half; executed well and knocked down shots,” Axemen coach Mike Leslie told the Summerside Journal-Pioneer. “In the second half we stopped doing all that worked for us in the first half. But give them (Rural) credit, they adjusted well. There was a five-minute spell in the second half when we couldn’t get the ball to drop. … We couldn’t free up Morgan and their defence defended him well.” Carlile said the Raiders “changed their style in the second half and we couldn’t stop them. They got up in our faces and we backed down, and it’s just unfortunate we couldn’t win the gold medal. But overall I’m happy with the season.” The Axemen had broken to a 9-0 lead.
