In the other semi, the 2nd-seeded Charlottetown Rural-1 Raiders clipped 3rd-seeded Bluefield-1 Bobcats 72-62.

In the bronze medal match, the 3rd-seeded Bluefield-1 thrashed the 4th-seeded Montague 65-36 as Sophie LeClair scored 19 and Elle Flick 16. Madelyn Brothers led the Vikings with 11.        In the final, the 2nd-seeded Charlottetown Rural-1 Raiders defeated the top-seeded Charlottetown Colonel Gray-1 Colonels 61-55 to capture their 10th consecutive title. “I think it speaks of the hard work and dedication the girls have and wanting to continue on that legacy,” Raiders coach Nicole Davies, who has been part of all 10 championship teams. “It’s obviously not all about winning. It feels good at the end of the day. But what we really harp on is effort, consistency, working hard – the things you can control. It’s obviously a bonus to have (won) that many in a row, but I think it’s also well-deserved because of the work they put in throughout the season.” Davies was a part of all 10 title teams, initially as a player, then as an assistant for 6 years, and finally, head coach for 3 years. Davies said that playoffs MVP Harlow Hannams “shot the ball extremely well, which we know she is very capable of. I would say this is her best performance in the season for sure, so it was a good day for it. She shot the ball very well, but she also picks and chooses the right time to pass to her teammates and be generous in moving the ball, not always looking for herself.” Rural led 37-24 at the half and 51-29 with 2:35 to play in the third quarter when the Colonels rallied with 18-2 run to draw within 53-47 with four minutes to play. But the Raiders had the answers in the form of defensive stops down the stretch. “We came out hot in the first half for sure. We shot the ball well, but what really, I think, got  us the win was our effort on defence,” Davies said. “They say defence wins championships and I think this game speaks to that for sure.” Harlow Hannams paced the Raiders with 16. Jadyn Huggan added 11 and Rebekah McGeoghegan 11. Lilly McVicar led the Colonels with 18. Tori Whitnell added 13. Huggan was chosen player of the game for the Raiders, while Whitnell earned the laurels for the Colonels.
