In the quarterfinal, the 4th-seeded Charlottetown Colonel Gray-1 Colonels dusted the 5th-seeded Souris Spartans 50-25 after leading 22-15 at the half. Rylee Connolly paced the Colonels with 14. Francis Alvarez added 7 and Sam Strain 7. The Spartans (coached by Laura Boertien, assisted by Melanie Boertien and Shawn Laybolt) included Bailee Ford, Jasmine Laybolt, Renee MacGregor, Carrie Jane Hennessey, Sarah MacDonald, Madeline Macdonald, Hannah Macdonald, Lacey Conway, Brittany Blackett, Kathryn MacIntosh, Erin Robertson and Grace Robertson.

        In the semis, the top-seeded Charlottetown Rural-1 Raiders blasted the 4th-seeded Charlottetown Colonel Gray-1 Colonels 67-27 after leading 17-0 after one quarter and 29-6 at the half. Lauren Reid paced the Raiders with 16. Ashley Plaggenhoef added 13 and Lexi McInnis 8, along with 7 boards. Francis Alvarez led the Colonels with 10. Sam Strain nabbed 6 boards. “We came out really hard and aggressive on offence and defence and when we kept them from scoring in the first quarter, we knew we were doing well,” Raiders guard Lauren Reid told the Charlottetown Guardian. “Our game plan was (all about) defence. They have a couple of players we wanted to lock down and if we did that the rest would take care of itself.”

        In the other semi, the 2nd-seeded Summerside Three Oaks-1 Axettes dispatched the 3rd-seeded Westisle Wolverines 60-44 after leading 39-13 at the half.  Nikki Arsenault paced the Axettes with 19. Georgia Baker added 13, along with 4 boards, Kelsey MacKinnon 10 and Callie MacDonald 10. Martina Gallant led the Wolverines with 14. Rickilee McLeod added 12 and Hannah Hackett 8. Madison MacKinnon had 8 blocks, while Lyndsay Callaghan nabbed 7 boards. The Axettes broke to a 15-2 lead and extended the margin to 51-28 at the half. The Wolverines rallied no closer than 15. “The game plan was to play how we can, play good defence,” Axettes guard Georgia Baker told the Charlottetown Guardian. “Our offence comes off good defence and I think we showed that today. … We tried to play a quarter at a time and not worry about the final. We had to focus on this game before we got there.”

        In the bronze medal match, the 4th-seeded Charlottetown Colonel Gray-1 Colonels edged the 3rd-seeded Westisle Wolverines 57-53 despite trailing 25-21 at the half and 42-40 after three quarters. Francis Alvarez led the Colonels with 14, along with 12 boards. Sam Strain added 13, along with 8 boards, and Rylee Connolly 9. Rickilee MacLeod paced the Wolverines with 11. Hannah Hackett added 11, Gemma Shea 8 and Madison MacKinnon 6, along with 9 boards. Sam Strain hit a trey with 9 seconds to play to ice the win. Colonels wing Ruby Sharp tied the game at 48 with 4:45 to play. With 1:05 left score the Colonels went ahead on a hoop by Jacqueline McQuaid off an offensive rebound. The Wolverines (coached by Dana Gard, assisted by Keith Gard and Katrina Horne) also included Martina Gallant, Savannah Moore, Lyndsay Callaghan, Maddie Thibodeau, Joselyn Jelley, Emma Laird and Paiton Gallant.

        In the final, the top-seeded Charlottetown Rural-1 Raiders defeated the 2nd-seeded Summerside Three Oaks-1 Axettes 60-50 to repeat as champs. The Raiders led 28-20 at the half. Tournament MVP Lexi MacInnis paced the Raiders with 19, along with 20 boards and 2 blocks. Lauren Reid added 11 and Brynn Essery 8. Nikki Arsenault led the Axettes with 22 and 7 boards. Callie MacDonald added 14, along with 5 boards, and Jillian Woods 6. The Raiders took command with a 9-0 run to open the second half. The Axettes rallied to within 53-49 with 2:17 to play but Lexi MacInnis and Lauren Reid notched critical buckets down the stretch. “It feels pretty good. They put up a really good fight,” MacInnis told the Charlottetown Guardian. “We had to pick up our energy and started to play strong defence (in the second half). Just had to buckle down.”
