In the quarterfinal, the 4th-seeded Montague Vikings nipped the 5th-seeded Kensington Torchettes 43-42 after leading 24-15 at the half. Carley MacLean paced the Vikings with 12. Savannagh Vondenberghe added 9 and Molly Stewart 8. Abby Donald led the Torchettes with 15. Cassidy Champion added 11 and Kelsey MacLean 8.

        In the semis, the top-seeded Charlottetown Colonel Gray-1 Colonels stomped the 4th-seeded Montague Vikings 75-26 after leading 45-8 at the half. Jenna Mae Ellsworth paced the Colonels with 20. Jada Yeo added 19 and Sophia Blanchard 9. Molly Stewart paced the Vikings with 11. Rebecca Martens added 6.

        In the other semi, the 3rd-seeded Charlottetown Rural-1 Raiders edged the 2nd-seeded Summerside Three Oaks-1 Axettes 42-40 after leading 25-19 at the half. Lexi MacInnis paced the Raiders with 17. Nicole Davies added 10. Nikki Arsenault led the Axettes with 8. Georgina McKenna added 8.

        In the bronze medal match, the 2nd-seeded Summerside Three Oaks-1 Axettes crushed the 4th-seeded Montague Vikings 55-32 after leading 29-9 at the half and 38-26 after three quarters. Nikki Arsenault paced the Axettes with 22. Georgina McKenna added 6, Callie MacDonald 6 and Jenna Gillis 6. Zoie Farish paced the Vikings with 13. Molly Stewart added 11. The Vikings also included Savannah Vandenberge, Sarah Furness, Carley MacLean, Rebecca Martens.

        In the final, the 3rd-seeded Charlottetown Rural-1 Raiders stunned the top-seeded Charlottetown Colonel Gray-1 Colonels 49-46. The Colonels hadn’t lost in two seasons against PEI competition and was seeking its third straight Island title. The Raiders led 13-6 after one quarter by slowing the temple to a crawl. Rural led 25-22 at the half and the game was tied at 35 after three quarters. Ashley Plaggenhoef paced the Raiders with 15. Lexi MacInnis added 10, Kassie Little 10 and Lauren Reid 6. Jenna Mae Ellsworth led the Colonels with 23 points and 10 boards. Jada Yeo added 12, along with 9 boards, and Francis Alverez 9. The early led was critical, Plaggenhoef told the Charlottetown Guardian. “That was important the part. It feels so good. I’ve never been this happy. It really is something we’ve been working toward for our Grade 12s. We believed we could win.” Tournament MVP Plaggenhoef hit two free throws with 1:28 on the clock to give Rural a 49-43 lead. “No, I wasn’t (nervous). I just focused on the net and shot my normal shot.” Ellsworth drained a trey to trim the margin to 49-46 and close the scoring with 48 seconds remaining.
