In the semis, the 11th-seeded Kinkora Blazers edged the 14th-seeded Summerside Three Oaks-2 Axemen 69-67 after leading 40-30 at the half. Justin Murphy paced the Blazers with 25. Adam Lea added 18 and Jeff Hunt 13. Jason Johnston paced the Axemen with 20. Kyle Glover added 18 and Derek Barlow 11.
In the other semi, the 12th-seeded Kensington Intermediate-Senior Torchmen edged the 13th-seeded Charlottetown Colonel Gray-2 Colonels 66-58 after leading 35-25 at the half. Jon Clark paced the Torchmen with 15. Aaron Adams added 12 and Chad MacLeod 12. Ben LeClair led the Colonels with 21.
In the bronze medal match, the 14th-seeded Summerside Three Oaks-2 Axemen defeated the 13th-seeded Charlottetown Colonel Gray-2 Colonels 72-58 after leading 36-28 at the half. Adam MacKinnon led the Axemen with 18. Rafael Zanatta added 12 and Derek Barlow 12. Michael Timmons led Colonel Gray with 13. Brandon Perry added 10 and Brodie McGee 9.
In the final, the 12th-seeded Kensington Intermediate-Senior Torchmen dumped the 11th-seeded Kinkora Blazers 81-49 to avenge a pair of midseason losses. The Torches led 21-11 after the first quarter, 43-19 at the half and 61-38 after three quarters. Chad MacLeod, the weekend tournament’s most valuable player, tossed in a game-high 22 points to lead the Torches. Jon Clark added 20, Logan Christensen 10 and Derek Profit 10. Justin Murphy led Kinkora with 15. Jeff Hunt added 12 and Ryan Steele 9.
