In the quarterfinals, the Hampshire Bluefield Bobcats defeated the Kensington Torchmen 50-41 as Nick Pharo scores 21 and Taylor Krupa 17. Ivan Paynter and Logan MacKay each scored 13 for Kensington, which leads 22-13 at the half. The Torchmen also included Ben Paynter.

In the other quarterfinal, the Summerside Three Oaks Axemen defeated the Elmsdale Westisle Wolverines 88-62 as Morgan Carlyle scores 28, Ben Schurman 18 and Matt Paupit 10. Thomas Kirkham leads Elmsdale Westisle with 19. Troy Clements and Matt Duquet each added 13. Three Oaks leads 35-30 at the half. The Wolverines also included Justin Ellis.

In the semis, the Charlottetown Rural Raiders defeated the Hampshire Bluefield Bobcats 81-61 as Doug McKinney scores 23, Ryan Keliher 22, and Jared MacDonald 19. Nic Pharo led the Bobcats with 21, including 19 in the second half. Ryan McDermott added 14, along with 11 boards. Rural led 36-32 at the half. Rural built an early 13-0 lead. Jared MacDonald scored 15 in the first half for Rural, including a trio from beyond the arc. McKinney took command of the affair in the third quarter when he scored four consecutive buckets.

In the other semi, the Charlottetown Colonel Gray Colonels defeated the Summerside Three Oaks Axemen 75-66 as Ryan Mahar scores 21, Chad MacDonald 12, Scott Bentley 12, Pat Byrnes 11 and Steve Reid 8. Morgan Carlile led the Axemen with 35, including 18 in the first half. Ben Schurman and Kevin Boucher each add 9. Colonel Gray leads 37-33 at the half.

In the bronze medal match, the Hampshire Bluefield Bobcats defeated the Summerside Three Oak Axemen 68-57. The Bobcats broke open a tight 53-50 affair with six minutes to play when Nic Pharo hit six points and hauled down two key rebounds. Pharo finished with 30 points and 17 boards. Ryan McDermott added 12 and 8 boards. Jared Connaughton scored 12 and Taylor Krupa 8. Hampshire Bluefield led 17-16 after one quarter, trailed 32-27 at the half and led 47-46 after three quarters. Morgan Carlile led Three Oaks with 21 points and 13 boards. Ben Schurman added 13, Matthew Paupitt 9, Kevin Boucher 6 and Mitchell DesRoches 6.

In the final, the Charlottetown Colonel Gray Colonels defeated the Charlottetown Rural Raiders 54-45 as Jeff Connolly scored 13 and Chad MacDonald 20, along with 15 boards, Jeff Connolly 13, Pat Byrnes 6, Scott Bentley 6 and Ryan Mahar 5. Doug McKinney paces Rural with 20, along with 13 boards. Josh Whitty scored 9 and Jared MacDonald 5. Rural led 29-25 at the half. Connolly drilled a clutch trey with a minute to play to give the Colonels a decisive lead. Gray coach Reagh Vidito said win came down to guts, sweat and keeping within reach. “You can coach. You can teach and the only things you can control are determination and hard work. We knew we could come through if we kept it close.” A trey by Ryan Mahar gave Gray its first lead with four minutes left in the third quarter and Chad MacDonald followed with a base-line jumper to give the Colonels a 38-35 advantage. Doug McKinney had a dunk on an offensive rebound to restore Rural’s lead at 41-38, but Jeff Connolly responded with a trey to tie the game 41-41 just before the end of the third quarter. With Gray up 51-47 with 27 seconds remaining, Scott Bentley sealed the win by sinking two foul shots. The first quarter ended in a 16-16 tie and Rural led 29-25 at the half.
