In the quarterfinals, the 4th-seeded Westisle-1 Wolverines spanked the 5th-seeded Charlottetown Colonel Gray-2 Colonels 48-27. The Colonels (coached by Bob Knudson, Erin Costello and Annik Whiten) included Ava Tweedy, Shaiyan Pyfrom, Menna Elmoslmany, Taylor Bridges, Jess Birung, Mariah Jenkins, Jenna Montgomery, Jahnah Malait, Lily Flood, Eva Wang and Sherry Xi.
In the other quarterfinal, the 3rd-seeded Charlottetown Rural-2 Raiders clipped the 6th-seeded Summerside Three Oaks-2 Axewomen 53-34. The Axewomen included Jocelyn Rayner.
In the semis, the top-seeded Montague Vikings torched the 4th-seeded Westisle-1 Wolverines 63-32.
In the other semi, the 3rd-seeded Charlottetown Rural-2 Raiders edged the 2nd-seeded Bluefield-2 Bobcats 34-32.
In the bronze medal match, the 2nd-seded Bluefield-2 Bobcats clocked the 4th-seeded Westisle-1 Wolverines 46-26. The Wolverines (coached by Rick Peters and Stacy MacWilliams) included Ava Rennie, Tifara Plante, Ashley Hardy, Anna Arsenault, Maddie Donnell, Karly LeClair, Rebecca Milligan, Alex Valles, Kari MacWilliams and Cyriah Richard.
In the final, the top-seeded Montague Regional Vikings clipped the 3rd-seeded Charlottetown Rural-2 Raiders 71-61 to capture their third consecutive title. Tournament MVP Katelyn Brothers told Saltwire that “it feels great to win, and since it’s our third in a row it is even better. … Looking great at the start, we were able to control the ball towards the end, where we were able to grow our lead.” Vikings coach Duane Yoshikawa said “the girls work hard in practice, which makes it easy for me to coach. I am so proud of these girls.” Lila Johnston was chosen player of the game for the Vikings, who led 13-12 after one quarter and 36-33 at the half.
