In the quarterfinals, 5th-seeded Charlottetown Colonel Gray-2 Colonels nipped the 4th-seeded Elmsdale Westisle Wolverines 57-56. Two three-points from Haley Butler and Laura Younker keyed a second-half comeback for the Colonels, who trailed 26-21 at the half and by as much as 14 points in the third quarter. Laura Younker paced the Colonels with 15. Megan Adams added 10 and Haley Butler 9. Jessica Smith led the Wolverines with 14. Kassandra Horne added 12 and Brianna Paugh 10. The Wolverines also include Abbie Anne Lidstone.
In the semis, the top-seeded Morell Marlins defeated the 5th-seeded Charlottetown Colonel Gray-2 Colonels 72-52 as Kayla McNally scored 28, Angela Corrigan 13 and Kelcy McNally 8. Haley Butler paced the Colonels with 18. Laura Younker added 14 and Alex Vaosler 8. Morell led 27-25 at the half.
In the other semi, the 3rd-seeded Souris Spartans dumped the 2nd-seeded Montague Vikings 58-42 as Jane McLaughlin scored 22, Mallory MacInnis 15 and Laura Boertien 7. Kaitlyn Powers paced the Vikings with 14. Hannah Hameline added 12 and Simone Farrish 7.
In the bronze medal match, the 2nd-seeded Montague Vikings defeated the 5th-seeded Charlottetown Colonel Gray-2 Colonels 68-57 as Hannah Hameline scored 19, Katelyn Powers 17, along with 8 boards and 4 blocks, Anne Brown 14, Simone Farrish 9 and Caleigh Burhoe 8. The Vikings led 37-29 at the half. Laura Younker paced the Colonels with 18. Emily Sullivan added 15 and Haley Butler 10.
In the final,
the top-seeded Morell Marlins defeated the 3rd-seeded Souris
Spartans 78-61 as tournament MVP Kayla McNally scored 22, Kelcy McNally 22,
Nicole Kelly 10, Naomi Cousins 10 and Angela Corrigan 8, along with 10 boards.
Jane McLaughlin paced the Spartans with 34. Laura Boertien added 13 and Mallory
MacInnis 10. The Marlins came out on fire and opened up a 24-5 first-quarter
lead. Morell then stretched that margin to 40-22 at the half.
