The score was knotted at 15 at the half. The Blues led 33-23 after three quarters. Amy Hagman led the Blues with 24. Ola Odedoyin paced the Saints with 12.

In the bronze medal match, the 4th-seeded Sarnia Northern CI&VS Vikings torched the 7th-seeded Etobicoke Richview CI Saints 52-30 after leading 11-4, 28-10 and 40-16 at the quarters. Cassidy Hirtle paced the Vikings with 29. Olamide Odedoyin paced the Saints with 11. “We had maybe one of the two or three best players in the province — that sure helps. Then the other five or six kids… are very good,” Vikings coach John Thrasher told the Sarnia Journal. “We’re big and we’re fast and we’re very good defensively. That was the difference. … We were the second-best team in the province. We know that. But we got bronze and we’re totally happy getting bronze.” Thrasher told the London Free Press that “the bronze medal was a reward for a lot of hard work. Great bunch of kids to coach.” The Saints (coach Warrick Manners, assistant Kurt Dipchand) also included Ana Radovic, Ana Gavrilovic, Noura Shafshak, Rhys Thomas, Ashtin-Rae Campbell-Scott, Hailey Franco-DeRyck, Lauren Howarth, Hayley Mainville, Domonique Kelly, Alia Omar-Bujak, Tessa Kent, Laurel Parobec, Lauren Riha and Annika Sharma.

In the final, the top-seeded Hamilton St. Thomas More Knights clubbed the 6th-seeded Orillia Secondary Nighthawks 57-31 after leading 18-13, 31-17 and 48-22 at the quarters. Kaya Charles led the Knights with 14. Ally Smith paced the Blues with 11. The Nighthawks had brought up five grade 10 students early in the season when few girls in the school were willing to join the team, according to Orillia Matters. “We made the decision early in the season that we were never going to talk about our age, we were never going to use youth as an excuse for anything,” said Grade 10 student Ally Smith. Fellow grade 10 student Rhys Bazuk said “most  of us have played together since Grade 5 through summer teams, Lakers and playing in Barrie as well.” Another grade 10 student, Anna Glass, said “I don’t think we expected to go that far, but we knew the competition and played them throughout the season and we knew what we were capable of. It was really exciting to make it to the final.” Smith said the Nighthawks gained enormous confidence from their win over Glebe in the quarterfinals. “We knew that was the turning point. After that, we knew we had a chanc.”
