       In the other semi, the 2nd-seeded Kingston Holy Cross Crusaders nipped the 11th-seeded Sarnia Northern Vikings 42-39. The Crusaders led 14-8 after one quarter and 28-24 at the half. The Vikings led 33-30 after three quarters. Sarah Besselink led the Crusaders with 16. Lauren Handy led the Vikings with 17. The Crusaders trailed by four with a minute to play but clutch defense and a massive three by Sammy Gourdier gave the girls a one-point lead with just over ten seconds left. Sarah Besselink than went to the line and iced the game with two free throws.

       In the bronze medal match, the 11th-seeded Sarnia Northern Vikings clipped the 5th-seeded St. Catharines Governor Simcoe Redcoats 37-27 after leading 8-6, 12-9 and 20-13 at the quarters. Lauren Handy paced the Vikings with 13.. The Vikings came to life in the fourth quarter. “Our kids no more wanted to be in that game than fly to the moon,” Vikings coach John Thrasher said. “We couldn’t hit a shot. I mean absolutely nothing was dropping for the first three quarters. But in the fourth quarter they just found a way to win; I was surprised they could play that hard. The girls were emotionally drained after we virtually blew the game in the afternoon. We led all the way through the fourth quarter and then we made some humongous mistakes at the end. “A month ago, if you had told me, ‘you’re going to win an OFSAA bronze,’ I would have laughed at you.” Morgan Rosts led the Redcoats with 11.        In the final, the top-seeded Hamilton St. Mary’s Crusaders stomped the 2nd-seeded Kingston Holy Cross Crusaders 59-31 after leading 13-7, 26-11 and 38-18 at the quarters. Hilary Hanaka paced St. Mary’s with 16. Crusaders coach Rich Wesolowski told the Hamilton Spectator that Hilary Hanaka “had a really good final and she was sort of nicked up a bit. She had a couple of elbow to the face. She grounded it out and played well the whole weekend.” Sam Gourdier paced the Crusaders with 11. Shelby Kralic added 9 and Sarah Besselink 8. “They’re the best team in the province, hands down,” Crusaders coach Kelly Dixon told the Kingston Whig-Standard. “They beat St. Thomas More – and they won quad A OFSAA. … Coming off such an emotional win over Northern, and with only a few hours between games, it was pretty tough. We needed to play a flawless game and we needed (St. Mary) to make mistakes.”  The Crusaders hit 15 treys.
