In the quarterfinals (??, according to the Windsor Star), the Hamilton Bishop Ryan Celtics torched the Windsor W.F. Herman Green Griffins 72-37 as Linda Palango scored 22, Debbie Knowles 18, Theresa Grant 15, M Grant 8, Troccoli 7 and Drake 3. Sonya Kovacs paced the Green Griffins with 15. Debbie Cowgill added 9, Pat Ducharme 7 and Groulx 6. The Green Griffins hit 14-48 (.290) from the floor. The Green Griffins (coached by Bob Lennie) also included Mary Beth Langlois, Russ, Skrzydiewski.

       In the semi-finals, the Ancaster Royals defeated the Hamilton Bishop Ryan Celtics 63-57 in overtime. It was to be Celtics last loss over the next three years. “Over the years, we have been involved in close games and the lead in that game went back and forth and six points was the maximum between the teams,” said Bishop Ryan coach Joe Di Tripani. “At three-quarter time and at the end of the game, the score was tied. They had a lot of grade 13s on their team and we had a lot of grade 10’s. “It was the game of the tournament. We had to stop a lot of veterans and we did a pretty good job. We were going on a lot of emotion and a lot of speed.” Bishop Ryan narrowly missed winning when a free throw was missed with seven seconds remaining in overtime.

       In the other semi, the Tillsonburg Glendale Griffins defeated the Mississauga Erindale Raiders 40-30.

       In the final, the Ancaster Royals defeated the Tillsonburg Glendale Griffins 50-27 as Candy Clarkson, who became a member of the Canadian national team, scored 17, Sue Lindley 10 and Jan McMullin 10. Ancaster led 28-17 at the half. Susan Burton led Glendale with 6. Coach Ernie Rodway says his Celtics experience proved the difference. The team had been playing together five years and finished the season with a (41-1) record. The Griffins finished (26-5) on the campaign.
