       In the quarterfinals, the top-seeded Cornwall E.S. La Citadelle Patriotes whipped St. Paul 67-29 as Chantal Mainville scored 20 and Emilie Lefebvre 10. Victoria Son led St. Paul with 8. Jessica Ruckstuhl added 7. St. Paul surprised the Patriotes by taking an early 8-3 lead. But La Citadelle quickly recovered to take 38-18 lead at the half. Mainville had 11 in the first half. La Citadelle pulled away in the second half.

       The 3rd-seeded Elgin Rideau District Lions defeated the 6th-seeded Harrow District Hawks 57-45 as Missy Stenzl scored 13. Kari Hedges paced Harrow with 18. Misty Klie added 11. Rideau rode excellent three-point shooting and ball movement to the win. The Hawks (coached by Cathy Hedges) also included Tiffany Harris, Beth Hedges, Kirby Pope, Ashley Ryan, Val Marshall, Danielle Menard.

       The 4th-seeded Hamilton Hillfield-Strathallan Trojans defeated Trinity CS 56-29 as Leah Mochrie scored 17 and Michelle Hunter 12. Brenna Swift paced TCS with 12. Vanessa Kortekaas added 9. Trinity played tough defence as they built a 9-6 lead at the quarter before Hillfield took command.

       The 2nd-seeded Parkhill North Middlesex Marauders defeated the 7th-seeded Ottawa Elmwood Eagles 48-28 as Bridgette Roelands scored 18 and Megan Owen 14. Laurie Pitfield paced Elmwood with 10. Middlesex executed their motion offence with patience and good passing. They built their lead to 23-16 at the half and cruised. With five starters returning next season, coach Bob Butler hopes the Eagles first OFSAA experience “whets their appetites.”

       In the semis, top-seeded Cornwall E.S. La Citadelle Patriotes defeated the 4th-seeded Hamilton Hillfield-Strathallan Trojans 43-34 as Emilie Lefebvre scored 14 and Marie France Dupuis 12. Michelle Hunter paced Hillfield with 16. Leah Mochrie added 8. Led by point guard Lefebvre, Citadelle controlled the tempo and rode their stifling defence to the win.

       In the other semi, the 2nd-seeded Parkhill North Middlesex Marauders defeated the 3rd-seeded Elgin Rideau District Lions 42-39 as Laura Michielson scored 15 and Bridgette Roelands 9. Courtney Gamble led Rideau District with 14. Missy Stenzl added 9. North Middlesex won it at the line down the stretch.

       In the bronze medal match, the 3rd-seeded Elgin Rideau District Lions defeated the Hamilton Hillfield-Strathallan Trojans 45-25 as Courtney Gamble scored 13 and Jenna Roantree 8. Michelle Hunter paced Hillfield with 10. Brinley Klienk added 5. Rideau took an early 13-8 lead early and then extended it to 24-14 at the half as Trojans Michelle Hunter and Leah Mochrie got in foul trouble. Rideau led 35-23 after three quarters and pulled away down the stretch as the Trojans wore down. The Trojans (coach Tom Stanton) also included Catharine Parsons, Lauren Jackson.

In the gold medal match, the Cornwall E.S. La Citadelle Patriotes edged the 2nd-seeded Parkhill North Middlesex Marauders 34-30 as Emilie Lefebvre scored 13 and Joanne Giguere 10. Brigette Roelands paced North Middlesex with 12. Laura Michielson added 7. Tenacious defence by both squads characterized play in the first half. A trey by Laura Michielson cut the Patriotes lead to three at the quarter, after which La Citadelle led 10-7. Brigette Roelands strong inside play allowed the Marauders to stay close through most of the second quarter. But a trey by Emilie Lefebvre with 10 seconds left in the half allowed the Patriotes to match their biggest lead of the half at 19-13. In the 3rd quarter, Brigette Roelands scored all seven of the Marauders points to draw North Middlesex within 23-20. The Marauders tied the score late in the game but La Citadelle made key free throws to seal the victory.
