       In the quarterfinals, the 3rd-seeded St. Thomas St. Joseph’s Rams dumped the 6th-seeded Williamstown Charlottenburgh & Lancaster District Crusaders 47-33 as Tanya Collins scored 18. Cathy Arnott led the Crusaders with 17.

       The 2nd-seeded Walkerton Sacred Heart Crusaders edged the 7th-seeded Ridgetown District Royals 35-33 as Carla Biesenthal scored 11, Sarah Kieffer 10, Paula Rich 9, Carrie Zettle 2 and Jill Kuntz 2. Kuntz hit the winner with three minutes to play. The Crusaders led 26-25 at the half. The score was knotted at 28 after three quarters.

       The top-seeded Parkhill North Middlesex Marauders defeated the 8th-seeded Rockcliffe Ashbury Colts x-x. The Colts included Janet Rawlinson, Alexandra Howard, Megan Pound.

       In the last quarterfinal, the 5th-seeded Campbellford Flames dispatched the St. Catharines Grantham Gators 35-31 as Leigh Anne Isaac scored 18 and Tara Twigg 11. The Flames led 14-11, 20-19 and 2822 at the quarters. Brenda Billington led the Gators with 12. Kelly Irvine added 11, Susan Walsh 4 and Mara Eglitis 4. The Gators hit 10-43 from the floor and 10-15 from the line. The Gators (coach Terry Nelson) also included Lynne Erwood.

       In the semis, the St. Thomas St. Joseph’s Rams defeated clipped the 2nd-seeded Walkerton Sacred Heart Crusaders 50-43.

       In the other semi, the Parkhill North Middlesex Marauders dispatched the Campbellford Flames 43-35.

       In the bronze medal match, the Campbellford Flames nipped the 2nd-seeded Walkerton Sacred Heart Crusaders 37-35. Crusaders coach Bill King told the Owen Sound Sun Times his troops were undone by an injury (broken wrist) to defensive stopper Heidi Borho earlier in the tournament. “It was an emotional roller-coaster for the girls.” The Crusaders also included Sarah Kieffer, Carla Biesenthal, Paula Rich, Carrie Zettel, Jill Kuntz

       In the final, the St. Thomas St. Joseph’s Rams defeated the Parkhill North Middlesex Marauders 52-40.
