They could not miss and we had an off-shooting game — which is unusual for us,” St. Lawrence coach Jamie Carr told the Cornwall Standard-Freeholder. “Once you make it to the quarterfinals everyone is really impressive. At that point it’s luck of the draw — who you match up against. It’s tough when you look and see the teams that finished with bronze and antique bronze (fourth place) medals were teams we had previously beaten. Overall it was a great year again for us. The score was knotted at 61 after regulation. “Man, we had the tools to beat these teams if we played the way we could,” Lajeunesse’s Andreas McBounds, who scored 16, told the Windsor Star. “Our energy just wasn’t up. … I don’t know what happened. This morning we were down 26 and got down by (five) at the end and I thought we’d bring that energy to this game and we didn’t. We were trying to extend (the lead) and keep it going, but our energy started going down. They were playing well. They were playing harder than us.” Ahmed Abou El Hassan paced Le Royal with 23.
