In the finals, the Chatham Tecumseh Braves defeated the Timmins O’Gorman Knights 47-44. Tecumseh began operating in 1957. Closed as a secondary school in June-88 and reopened as an elementary school. The Braves, with a population of only 300, won provincial championships in basketball and volleyball in 1988.
