The Falcons rallied from a seven-point, fourth-quarter deficit by ripping off an 18-4 run. They had trailed 45-40 after three quarters. The Clippers nailed a trey to draw within 60-58 with less than a minute to play. The Clippers led 31-28 at the half. Clippers coach Stephen Silvaggio told the Windsor Star that “it’s the first OFSAA medal for a Kennedy girls’ team. They should be proud of their accomplishment. … I’m disappointed in the way the game ended. I’m very happy with the way the girls kept fighting.” The Star reported that “railing by a point with two minutes to play, a Kennedy defender tried to step around a Frontenac player looking to steal. Rather than a foul, the Kennedy player was handed an unsportsmanlike call. Frontenac hit the two free throws and was given possession and scored again to open a five-point lead.” Silvaggio, noting that his squad shot two free throws in the second half to Frontenac’s 25, said “that really leaves a sour taste in your mouth at that point.”
