Kim Johnson paced the Raiders with 18. Sharon Reid added 11, Kelly Manners 6, Angela Von Richter 5 and Laurel Johnson 4. Raiders coach Jim Yeo told the Owen Sound Sun times that “our guards have really been playing well, especially Sharon Reid with the three-point shots.        In the semis, the Owen Sound West Hill Raiders defeated the Timmins HVS Blues 30-23 as Kim Johnson scored 17, Angela Von Richter 7, Sharon Reid 4 and Laurel Johnson 2. Raiders coach Jim Yeo told the Owen Sound Sun Times that it was a very physical game. “Maybe that’s why the game was so close. But Timmons played a very tough game. … Our height advantage in Von Richter and Laurel Johnson was a big factor, plus the maturity of the grade 13 players … Reid made a three-pointer at a real crucial point in the game.”

       In the other semi, the Chatham John McGregor Panthers clipped St. Catharines 51-41.

       In the bronze medal match, St. Catharines dispatched Timmins 51-43.

       In the final, the Owen Sound West Hill SS Raiders defeated the Chatham John McGregor Panthers 34-28 as Kim Johnson scored 16, Angela Von Richter 7, Kelly Manners 6 and Sharon Reid 5. The Raiders led 12-10 after one quarter and 19-10 at the half. They hit 14-27 free throws. Raiders coach Jim Yeo told the Owen Sound Sun Ties that “this just shows what people can do when they believe in themselves. Our defence came through with a tremendous effort. We never allowed any more than 28 points in a game and the play of guards Kelly Manners, Sharon Reid and Kim Johnson was a really big factor. Reid’s leadership really pulled the team together and she made some key shots in the last two games.” Joani Milligan led the Panthers with 14. Shelby Sims added 8.
