In the quarterfinals, held in Fenwick, the host Fenwick Pelham District Panthers dumped Amherstburg St. Rose 52-43 as Steve Fazekas scored 18, Jeff Daw 17 and Dan Lanigan 10. Marvin Shaw led St. Rose with 13. Keith Bondy added 11 and Dale Jubenville 9. St. Rose also included Bill Jubenville, Ken Bondy, John Shaw, Dan Gibb and Sundland. Ste. Rose led 16-13 after one quarter. Pelham led 29-28 at the half. Ste. Rose led 36-35 after three quarters on a late hook by Bondy.
The Cannington Brock District Bulldogs nipped Ajax 47-44 as Albert Moore scored 20 and Cornelius Matwijecky 10. The Bulldogs prevailed on a layup by Albert Moore and two free throws from Albert Hewitt in the final minute. Ian MacRae led Ajax with 24. Ajax led 22-17 at the half.
The Mitchell District Blue Devils edged Arthur District 48-44 after leading 31-15 at the half.
In the last quarterfinal, Iroquois Falls Calvert nipped the Elgin Rideau District Lions 46-43 as Paul Brettle scored 12, Pierre Guevremeont 12, Albert Cox 11, Leo Deflauriers 7 and Garth McLeod 4, while Jim Teever, Richard Smith and Robert Beaulfe were scoreless. Roger Greenlees paced the Lions (coached by Gerald Bray) with 17. Graham Wright added 15, Clint Halladay 5, Linton McConville 3 and Paul McCuen 2, while Wayne McCuen, Bruce Haskin, Bob Bresee, Gord White and Bob Brown were scoreless.
In the semis, the Fenwick Pelham District Panthers dispatched the Cannington Brock District Bulldogs 35-21 as Jeff Daw scored 20.
In the other semi, the Mitchell District Blue Devils clocked Iroquois Falls Calvert 56-25.
In the final, the Fenwick Pelham District Panthers stomped the Mitchell District Bulldogs 49-20 as Jeff Daw scored 18, Steve Fazekas 11, Larry Lanigan 8, Paul McCarty 4, Dan Lanigan 3 and Terry Stringer 3. The Panthers led 8-0 early and 14-8, 20-13 and 36-18 at the quarters. Allan French led the Bulldogs with 8. Tom Leitch added 7.
