In the quarterfinals, held in Brantford, the Parkhill North Middlesex Marauders clubbed the Hagersville Hurricanes 60-42 after leading 27-19 at the half. Glen Buttram paced the Marauders with 17. Dave Waters added 17, Ron Saddler 14, Johnson 7, B Duncan 4 and Sinclair 4, while D Duncan, Lightfoot, St. Pierre and Tweddle were scoreless. John LeMay led the Hurricanes with 13. Ted Binek added 11, Mike LeMay 10 and Pearce 8, while White, Smith and Hyde were scoreless.

The Kingsville District Cavaliers clipped the Timmins O’Gorman Knights 54-47 as Bill Brown scored 19, Bill Conklin 12, Wright 11, Phil Carter 7 and Dwyer 5, while Ward, McGorman, Etzel, Wigle and Ternosky were scoreless. Bernardini led the Knights with 29. Rossit added 10, Colameco 4 and McDonell 4, while Zilliotto, Byck, Broderick, Stevens, Perrault and Martin were scoreless.

The Brantford St. John’s Green Eagles whipped the Cannington Brock District Bulldogs 52-27 as Jim Carroll scored 18, Len Dostal 13, Jamula 6, Rourke 4, Chmiel 4, Villamere 4, O’Rourke 2 and Dzuiba 1, while Mroz and Craig were scoreless. Ted Wark led the Bulldogs with 14. Ralph Rickard added 8 and Ivan Goodhand 5, while Stewart, Smith, Makelin, Fabricius, Parks, Henderson and B Rickard were scoreless.

In the last quarterfinal, the Athens District Warriors dispatched the Pickering Dunbarton Spartans 55-42 as Bill Greenhorn 21, John Dixie 21, Roger Greenham 8, Wallace 4 and Goodbody 1, while Riemersma, Dickey and Henry Brower were scoreless. Shannon led the Spartans with 20. Hunter added 9, Hobbs 6, Usher 5 and Nicol 2, while Bosak, Carter, Stroud, Mulligan and Duncombe were scoreless.

In the semis, the Brantford St. John’s Green Eagles torched the Kingsville District Cavaliers 52-31 as Carroll scored 19, Jamula 10, Dostal 9, Chmiel 9, Romke 2, O’Rourke 2 and Dzuiba 1, while Kelly, Villamere, Mroz and Craig were scoreless. Brown led the Cavaliers with 10. Wright added 9, Conklin 8, Ternosky 2 and Carter 2, while Dwyer, Ward, McGorman, Etzel and Wigle were scoreless.

In the other semi, the Athens District Warriors dispatched the Parkhill North Middlesex Marauders 47-38 as Dixie scored 17, Greenhorn 16, Greenham 9, Wallace 3 and Goodbody 2, while Riemersma, Dickey and Brower were scoreless. Buttram paced the Marauders with 20. Saddler added 12, Waters 3, B Duncan 2 and Johnson 1, while Sinclair, St. Pierre, D Duncan, Tweddle and Lightfoot were scoreless.

In the final, the Brantford St. John’s Green Eagles repeated as champions with a 42-25 win over Athens District HS. Jim Carroll paced the Green Eagles with 13. Len Postal added 12, Jamula 8, Rowke 7 and Villamere 2, while Kelly, Chmiel, O’Rourke, Mroz and Dzuiba were scoreless. The Green Eagles led 13-7, 25-11 and 30-16 at the quarters. Green Eagles coach Reverend Harvey Roach told the Brantford Expositor that “we didn’t have as much height as last year’s team but we had good balance. Whenever we had to call somebody off the bench, he was able to plug the gap. It was that way all season.” The Eagles win was their 45th consecutive victory. Henry Brower led Athens District with 8. Dixie added 7, Greenhorn 6, Dickey 3 and Greenham 1, while Riemersma, Goodbody and Wallace were scoreless.
