In the quarterfinals, the Sudbury St. Charles Cardinals whipped the Kitchener St. Jerome’s Lions 55-32. The Lions included Bill Cuddy, John Woolsey, Savage, Sutton, Iucice, MacInnis, Threll, Walker, Germaine, McCormick, McMorrow, Buckel, Paul Heinbecker.
The Welland Notre Dame Fighting Irish dispatched the London Central Ghosts 55-40.
In the semis, the Toronto St. Michael’s Blue Raiders clocked the Hamilton Cathedral Gaels 49-28.
In the other semi, the Sudbury St. Charles Cardinals whipped the Welland Notre Dame Fighting Irish 70-53.
In the bronze medal match, the Hamilton Cathedral Gaels clipped the Welland Notre Dame Fighting Irish 61-48 as Al healy scored 17, Bob Hughes 16 and Bill Kantor 15. The Gaels led 41-18 at the half. Paul Caron paced Notre Dame with 21.
In the final, the Toronto St. Michael’s Blue Raiders defeated the Sudbury St. Charles Cardinals 45-38 as John O’Neil scored 26. Pat O’Neil added 9. The Blue Raiders led 15-12, 29-17 and 36-26 at the quarters. Roy Landrye led the Cardinals with 16. Ron Horeck added 14.
