In the quarterfinals, the top-seeded Neil’s Harbour Cabot Academy Trailblazers stomped the 8th-seeded Halifax Ecole du Sommet Cougars 107-29 as Alannah Williams scored 17 to lead seven Trailblazers in double figures.

The 4th-seeded Highland Baddeck Academy Broncos edged the 5th-seeded Yarmouth Drumlin Heights Consolidated Eagles 52-47 as Laken Cameron scored 17. The Eagles (coached by Jamie Benham) included Mackenzie Adams, Brett Reede, Ally Greene, Terri Amirault, Alexandra MacKenzie, Kennedy Cunningham, Brittany Spinney, Madison Doucette, Mackenzie Pulley, Meagan Adams and Arielle Doucette.

The 2nd-seeded host Oxford Regional Golden Bears whipped the 7th-seeded Lockeport Regional Green Wave 55-27 as Ashley O’Brien scored 15.

In the last quarterfinal, the 3rd-seeded Pugwash Panthers bombed the 6th-seeded Cape Breton Inverness Educational Centre Academy Rebels 54-26 as Justin Benjamin scored 16. The Rebels (coached by Andrew Ryan) included Leah Bennett, Jessica Christensen, Brooklyn Kennedy, Cali MacDonald, Jamie Lee MacIsaac, Makayla MacLellan, Holli McLean and Lucy Smith.

In the semis, the 2nd-seeded Oxford Regional Golden Bears clipped the 3rd-seeded Pugwash Panthers 67-55 as Ashley O’Brien scored 19. Corby Patriquin led the Panthers with 22.

In the other semi, the top-seeded Neil’s Harbour Cabot Academy Trailblazers whipped the 4th-seeded Highland Baddeck Academy Broncos 79-47 as Michaela Ashford scored 24.

        In the final, the 2nd-seeded Oxford Regional Golden Bears knocked off the top-seeded Neil’s Harbour Cabot Academy Trailblazers 86-77 in overtime. “It was nip and tuck the whole way through,” said Bears’ coach Peter Swan. “We’d go up by four, they’d go up by two. Then we’d go up by two and they’d go up by four. It was back and forth the whole game.” The Trailblazers led 24-23 after one quarter. The Bears led 35-34 at the half and 53-48 after three quarters. The score was knotted at 71 after regulation. “In the overtime, we got it together and I don’t even know what the score was,” said Swan. “I think we won by 10 or eight or something. But, by the end of the game we had taken control. My girls played like rock stars; they were awesome. All year, I’ve been telling them how awesome they are and today, they went out and showed me how awesome they are. It’s great.” Savannah Davis led the Bears with 29. Ashley O’Brien added 18 and Regan Swan 15. Michaela Ashford led the Trailblazers with 22. Kathy Dixon added 21 and Kelsey Dixon 14.
