In the quarterfinals, the top-seeded Western Bay Cabot High Trailblazers thrashed the 8th-seeded Colchester Christian Academy Storm 89-56. The Storm included Parker Steeves.
The 5th-seeded Lockeport Regional Greenwave whipped the 4th-seeded Halifax Fountain Academy of the Sacred Heart Sharks 83-56.
The 3rd-seeded Yarmouth Drumlin Heights Consolidated Eagles clocked the 6th-seeded Tatamagouche North Colchester Mustangs 76-52.
In the last quarterfinal, the 2nd-seeded Pugwash District Panthers clipped 7th-seeded River Hebert Raiders 79-64. The Raiders included Brandon Wry.
In the semis, the 2nd-seeded Pugwash District Panthers dumped the 3rd-seeded Yarmouth Drumlin Heights Consolidated Eagles 88-60.
In the other semi, the top-seeded Western Bay Cabot High Trailblazers stomped the 5th-seeded Lockeport Regional Greenwave 97-74.
In the bronze medal match, the 5th-seeded Lockeport Regional Greenwave dispatched the 3rd-seeded Yarmouth Drumlin Heights Consolidated Eagles 94-89. The Eagles included Dylan Spinney, Isaac Cull, Grayson Smith, Nolan LeBlanc, Ethan MacNeil.
In the final, the top-seeded Western Bay Cabot High Trailblazers edged the 2nd-seeded Pugwash District Panthers 89-85. Joseph Dixon paced the Trailblazers with 56, including 31 in the first half. Spencer Belair added 23. The Trailblazers led 47-41 at halftime. “It was an up-and-down season and the biggest issue we had with this team, we had talent, but we didn’t have the team chemistry and didn’t find a way to gel,” Cabot coach Graham Whitty told the Cape Breton Post. “They just finally clicked at the right time.” Sam Wade led the Panthers with 34. Pat Liebmann added 19, Caleb Pye 18, Ryan MacInnis 6, Garret Alguire 4, Alex Campbell 2 and Adam Blair 2.
