In the quarterfinals, held in Neil’s Harbour, the top-seeded Pugwash Panthers whipped the 8th-seeded Pictou Academy Bulldogs 70-45 as Jordan Reid scored 21 and Caleb Pye 12. Mac Murray led the Bulldogs with 12. Craig Sutherland added 11.
The 4th-seeded host Neil’s Harbour Cabot Academy Trailblazers edged the 5th-seeded Oxford Golden Bears 90-84 as Joseph Dixon scored 34 and Spencer Belaire 33. James Black paced the Golden Bears with 33. Spencer Richard added 20. The Golden Bears (coached by John Richard and Kenney Black) included Wesley Black, Jonah Chapman, Charlie Nix, Caleb Johnson, Cole Rushton, Connor Patriquin, Ashton Rushton, Drew Skidmore, Tiarnan Whalen and Alex Rushton.
The 2nd-seeded Colchester Christian Academy Storm dusted the 7th-seeded Tatamagouche North Colchester Mustangs 69-57 as Nathaniel VanderKwaak scored 22 and Cameron Fillmore 15. Colin MacDonald paced the Mustangs (coached by Thomas Patriquin, assisted by Tom Thomson) with 25. John Hunt added 16.
In the last quarterfinal, the 6th-seeded Halifax Sommet Cougars blasted the 3rd-seeded Lockeport Regional Greenwave 92-62 as Jacob Sheffar scored 29 and Kobe Marchand 18. Austin Buchanan paced the Greenwave with 33. Cody Cotter added 14.
In the semis, the top-seeded Pugwash Panthers whacked the 4th-seeded Neil’s Harbour Cabot Academy Trailblazers 80-66.
In the other semi, the 6th-seeded Halifax Sommet Cougars stunned the 2nd-seeded Colchester Christian Academy Storm 93-82.
In the bronze medal match, the 4th-seeded Neil’s Harbour Cabot Academy Trailblazers dispatched the 2nd-seeded Colchester Christian Academy Storm 79-66. The Storm (coached by Benjamin Shearer) included Nathaniel VanderKwaak and Cameron Fillmore.
In the final, the top-seeded Pugwash Panthers clubbed the 6th-seeded Halifax Sommet Cougars 88-71.
