The 3rd-seeded Tatamagouche North Colchester Mustangs dumped the 6th-seeded Oxford Regional Golden Bears 74-62.
The 4th-seeded Caledonia North Queens Rural Spartans clipped the Neil’s Harbour Cabot Academy Trailblazers 69-56.
In the last quarterfinal, the top-seeded Lockeport Regional Green Wave smacked the 8th-seeded Terre Noire Cape Breton Highlands Academy Huskies 87-65.
In the semis, the Lockeport Regional Green Waves thrashed the 4th-seeded Caledonia North Queen’s Rural Spartans 67-34 as Shea Balish scored 22. “We grew up watching our senior boys go to battle with North Queens in a lot of championships,” Balish told the Halifax Chronicle-Herald. “We just came out and really wanted to put it away for old-times sake.” Andrew Ford led the Spartans with 7.
In the other semi, the 3rd-seeded Tatamagouche North Colchester Mustangs edged the 2nd-seeded Parrsboro Warriors 65-63 as Kent Matheson scored 42. Brad Allen led the Warriors with 20.
In the bronze medal match, the Caledonia North Queens Rural Spartans dumped the Parrsboro Warriors 81-68 as Mark Fancy scored 28 and Andrew Ford 16. Ryan Willigar led Parrsboro with 23. Matt Gamblin added 22.
In the final, the top-seeded Lockeport Regional Green Wave thumped 3rd-seeded Tatamagouche North Colchester Mustangs 78-47 as Shea Balish scored 23, Andrew Cotter 15 and Bryce Crosby 14. Kent Matheson led Tatamagouche North Colchester with 26.
