        The 5th-seeded Lockeport Regional Green Wave dumped the 4th-seeded Halifax Grammar Gryphons 46-37.

        The 7th-seeded Terre Noire Cape Breton Highlands Academy Huskies stunned the 2nd-seeded Oxford Regional Golden Bears 59-48.

        In the last quarterfinal, the 3rd-seeded host Sacred Heart of Halifax Sharks torched the 6th-seeded Pugwash District Panthers 64-24.

        In the bronze quarterfinals, the 2nd-seeded Oxford Regional Golden Bears clubbed the 6th-seeded Pugwash District Panthers 66-29.

        In the other bronze quarterfinal, the 4th-seeded Halifax Grammar Gryphons nipped the 8th-seeded Shelburne Regional Rebels 46-43.

        In the semis, the top-seeded Neil’s Harbour Cabot Academy Trailblazers blasted the 5th-seeded Lockeport Regional Green Wave 77-42.

        In the other semi, the 7th-seeded Terre Noire Cape Breton Highlands Academy Huskies edged the 3rd-seeded Sacred Heart of Halifax Sharks 52-50 in overtime.

        In the bronze semis, the 2nd-seeded Oxford Regional Golden Bears bombed the 5th-seeded Lockeport Regional Green Wave 66-29.

        In the other bronze semi, the 3rd-seeded Sacred Heart of Halifax Sharks whacked the 4th-seeded Halifax Grammar Gryphons 47-33.

        In the bronze medal match, the 2nd-seeded Oxford Regional Golden Bears nipped the 3rd-seeded Sacred Heart of Halifax Sharks 55-52. The Sharks (coached by Andrew Murray) included Sam Ghosn, Tua MacNeil, Julia Smyth, Claire Rankin, Sally Bourne, Claire Wilson-Dyment, Meredity Leckey, Eliza Rankin, Megan Campbell.

        In the final, the top-seeded Neil’s Harbour Cabot Academy Trailblazers clubbed the 7th-seeded Terre Noire Cape Breton Highlands Academy Huskies 55-21 as Malery Whitty scored 14, Olivia Symes 12 and Teah Fricker-MacNeil 6. Sarah Ross led the Huskies with 6. Leah Burns added 4. The all-Cape Breton final left the coaches spellbound. “It almost seemed like there was something bigger than basketball happening at that moment and as coaches we couldn’t have been prouder,” Huskies coach Billy Crowley told the Cape Breton Post. “Some things are more important than basketball and the girls proved that.” Trailblazers coach Adam Sams said “it was amazing to see our team cheering for them and their girls cheering for our team, it really showed the Cape Breton pride. The teams were in the same hotel for the weekend, the girls, parents and coaches all got along, it was something special.” Crowley said “when we got to the championship game, they already felt like champions — the outcome of the game honestly didn’t matter.” Cabot Academy finished (24-7) on the campaign.
