In the quarterfinals, held in Cornwallis, the top-seeded Springhill Lady Golden Eagles clipped the 8th-seeded Pictou Academy Pitbulls 55-47. “In the final four or five minutes the girls really hit the boards hard,” Golden Eagles coach Charlie Chambers told the Amherst Daily News. “Everyone contributed, it really was total team effort.” The Pitbulls included Melanie Hill.

        The 2nd-seeded Yarmouth Drumlin Heights Consolidated Eagles dumped the 7th-seeded Digby Regional Mariners 62-52. The Mariners included Anne Balser, Leeann LeBlanc.

        In the last quarterfinal, the 5th-seeded Shelburne Regional Rebels dispatched the 4th-seeded Monastery East Antigonish Mustangs x-x. The Mustangs included Karla Hodgeson.

        In the semis, the top-seeded Springhill Golden Eagles clipped the 5th-seeded Shelburne Regional Rebels 68-60 as Sam Welsh scored 30 and Sara Laurie 20. Michelle Mailman led the Rebels with 17.

        In the other semi, the 2nd-seeded Yarmouth Drumlin Heights Consolidated Eagles dispatched the 3rd-seeded Dalbrae Academy Dragons 47-40 as Jacinthe Surrette and Faren Doucette each scored 17. Krystal MacDonald paced the Dragons with 15.

        In the bronze medal match, the 5th-seeded Shelburne Regional Rebels defeated the 3rd-seeded Dalbrae Academy Dragons 37-33 as Haley Cox scored 16. Dorothy Rice led the Dragons with 12.

        In the final, the top-seeded Springhill Golden Eagles defeated the 2nd-seeded Yarmouth Drumlin Heights Consolidated Eagles 56-41 as Patti Gilroy scored 20 and Sara Laurie 15. Faren Doucette led the Eagles with 17. Vanessa Sweeny added 12.
