On the inbound pass, SMBA’s Dalton Amero tipped the ball out of Shelburne’s hands and into Paris’ for another easy bucket and the two-point lead. Shelburne was unable to capitalize on a last second Stingray foul. Ryan Paris led the Stingrays with 28 points and Jeremy Thibault added 12.

In the other semi, the 3rd-seeded Pugwash

as Anthony Reeves scored 17, Troy Darlington 15, Greg Morrison 11, Matt
Benjamin 10, Cody Stevens 6, Jarred Nix 6, Jeff Langille 3 and Mike Blaikie 2. “There
were chances by both teams in the final minute, but we lead with 24 seconds to
go 53-50 and Hants North lost the ball on a two on one break with 0:11 seconds
left,” said coach Vincent Pye. “We inbounded the ball and Anthony Reeves scored
on a layup with 3.6 seconds left. Hants North missed the final shot resulted in
the 55-50 win.”
In the bronze medal match, the 5th-seeded
St. Bernard St. Mary’s Bay Academy Stingrays defeated the 2nd-seeded Kennetcook
Hants North Rural Flames 68-62. The Flames squandered a four-point lead late in

In the final, the top-seeded
Annapolis West Education Centre Knights defeated the Pugwash District High Panthers
61-56 as Nathan Fells scored 27. Anthony Reeves led the Panthers with 28. Greg
Morrison added 14, Matt Benjamin 4, Josh Kennedy 4, Cody Stevens 3 and Jarred
Nix 2. “Annapolis tried to press us full court and we turned the ball over only
twice in the first half that lead to two lay-ups and four points by them,” said
Panthers coach Vincent Pye. “Our 3-2 pressure zone defense kept the high-powered
fast break offense of Annapolis off balance in the first half and not allowing
them to fast break the ball or score off their pressure was key for us to keep
the game close.” Pugwash took the lead with 8 minutes to play but point guard
Fells broke them down with the penetrating dribble-drive on three consecutive
possessions as Annapolis West regained the lead. Pugwash rallied to within 3
with 55 seconds to play but Annapolis iced the win at the line.
