Provincial authorities moved to a four-team single knockout tournament.

        In the semis, the Lockeport Regional Green Wave clubbed the Halifax West Warriors 47-16 as Ella Medlay scored 27, Dianne Williams 10, Rosslyn Shaw 6 and Joy Giffen 2. Halifax West was led by Liz Street 12, Susan Yeadon 1, Sherri Bradley 2 and Janet Flemming 1.

In the other semi, the Pugwash District Panthers edged Antigonish High 18-17 as Jean Allen scored 8, Elsie Hollis 8 and Faye MacKenzie 2. Antigonish was paced by Maureen MacIsaac 11, Pauline MacLean 4 and Mina Crawford 2.

        In the final, the Lockeport Regional Green Wave’ sterling defence by Gladys Scott, Marjorie Turner and Eileen Turner held Pugwash to two points through the first three quarters and both of those were on free throws. The final was 29-12. Lockeport was paced by Dianne Williams 13, Ella Medley 6, Rosslyn Shaw 4, Marjorie Turner 4 and Eileen Turner 2. Pugwash was led by Elsie Hollis 6, Jean Allen 2 and Betty Brownell 4. Coach Eldon Forbes completed a B girls and boys double with the Green Wave.
