The 2nd-seeded Greenwich Horton District Griffins whipped the 7th-seeded host Coxheath Riverview Royals 87-49.
In the last quarterfinal, the 3rd-seeded Halifax Citadel Phoenix bombed the 6th-seeded New Glasgow North Nova Education Centre Gryphons 70-47.
In the bronze quarterfinals, the 4th-seeded Halifax Charles P. Allen Cheetahs crushed the 8th-seeded Antigonish Dr. John Hugh Gillis Royals 66-39. The Royals (coached by Gail MacDougall, assistants Alana Lawn and Kate Spencer) included Emily MacDonald, Lauren Lowther, Charleigh Clarke, Jessica MacKinnon, Madison Gorman, Taylor Gorman, Sophie Delorey, Cailunn Bance, Brooke MacDonald, Maura Flynn, Katie MacNeil and Malia Artibello.
In the other bronze quarterfinal, the 6th-seeded New Glasgow North Nova Education Centre Gryphons edged the 7th-seeded Coxheath Riverview Royals 71-67. The Royals (coach Stephanie O’Neil, assistant Nicole Parago, assistant Tamara Alleyne) included Erin Beaton, Teaonna Carroll, Maddie Coleman, Julia Currie, Gillian Ellerker, Katie MacDonald, Maddy MacInnis, Rebecca MacKeigan, Makayla MacKenzie, Hailey MacLeod, Emma MacPhee, Abbey Parago and Chloe Parsons.
In the semis, the top-seeded Dartmouth Spartans pounded the 5th-seeded Cole Harbour Auburn Drive Eagles 82-43 as Clara Gascoigne scored 23.
In the other semi, the 2nd-seeded Greenwich Horton District Griffins dispatched the 3rd-seeded Halifax Citadel Phoenix 74-68.
In the bronze semis, the 5th-seeded Cole Harbour Auburn Drive Eagles defeated the 6th-seeded New Glasgow North Nova Education Centre Gryphons 65-57. The Gryphons (coached by Andy MacKay, assisted by Pat Delaney and Paul Arbuckle) included Katelyn Jota, Isa MacKay, Emily Arbuckle, Sarah Fast, Jade Butler, Raegan MacDonald, Jaden MacEachern, Kassi Brightman, Maddy MacMillan and Ali Morrison.
In the other bronze semi, the 3rd-seeded Halifax Citadel Phoenix nipped the 4th-seeded Halifax Charles P. Allen Cheetahs 57-56. The Cheetahs included Hannah Smith, Saffron Hyde, Olivia Moller.
In the bronze medal match, the 3rd-seeded Halifax Citadel Phoenix bombed the 5th-seeded Cole Harbour Auburn Drive Eagles 97-71 as Jayleigh Bryan scored 20. Lorin Tolliver led the Eagles with 32. The Eagles also included Emily McNeil, Lauren Davies, Sara Jackson.
In the final, the top-seeded Dartmouth Spartans edged the 2nd-seeded Greenwich Horton District Griffins 72-70 as Samantha Russell scored 17. Sarah Cumby led the Griffins with 17. The Spartans finished (30-0) on the campaign. Rookie Spartans coach Marika Williams told CBC that “I don’t think I breathed for like the second half of the game. … They were up and then we were up and then they were up and then we were up. … It was really amazing, like there’s nothing else I can say. The girls did so well, they worked so hard and they came to practice day in and day out. … They pick each other up, so if one was down someone’s going to come over and pat her on the back and say, ‘It’s OK. We’re still good or shoot that shot.’ Everything was really constructive and nothing was negative.”
