The 2nd-seeded Bridgewater Park View Education Centre Panthers defeated the 7th-seeded wildcard Antigonish Dr. John Hugh Gillis Royals 43-30. The Royals included Brenda Farrell, Sonya Reddick.
The host and 3rd-seeded New Waterford Breton Education Centre Bears beat the 6th-seeded Dartmouth Prince Andrew Panthers 81-56. The Panthers included Jadranka Crnogorac, Marjorie MacDougall, Tanya Reddick.
In the last quarterfinal, the 5th-seeded wildcard Coxheath Riverview Rural Royals upset the 4th-seeded Halifax St. Patrick’s Fighting Irish 70-60. The Irish included Erika Leonard, Cindy Knelson.
In the semis, the 2nd-seeded Bridgewater Park View Education Centre Panthers defeated the host New Waterford Breton Education Centre Bears 67-60 as Jennifer Rice scored 22 and Laura Fielding 13. Heide MacNeil led the Bears with 19. Kim MacLeod added 15.
In the other semi, the top-seeded Truro Cobequid Educational Centre Cougars dumped the Coxheath Riverview Rural Royals 66-55 as Toni MacAfee scored 16, Marianne Berry 10 and Amy MacDonald 10. Janice Moseychuk led the Royals with 20. Virginia Cann added 14.
In the bronze medal match, the New Waterford Breton Education Centre Bears defeated the Coxheath Riverview Rural Royals 65-60 as Heidi MacNeil and Tanya Bealer each scored 15. Deanna MacAulay added 13. Breton led 34-31 at the half. Janice Moseychuk paced the Royals with 21. Virginia Cann added 13.
In the final, the top-seeded Truro Cobequid Educational Centre Cougars defeated the Bridgewater Park View Education Centre Panthers 60-43 as Toni MacAfee scored 27, including 20 in the second half. Colleen MacNeil added 12. Jennifer Rice paced the Panthers with 14. Ellen Moore added 9. Park View led 30-26 at the half.
