In the quarterfinals, held in Halifax, the 4th-seeded Dartmouth Prince Andrew Panthers clipped the 5th-seeded Bridgewater Park View Education Centre Panthers 75-54 as Jadranka Crnogorac scored 30.

        The 3rd-seeded Coxheath Riverview Rural Royals defeated the 6th-seeded Yarmouth Vikings 43-38.

        The 2nd-seeded Halifax Queen Elizabeth Lions dumped the 7th-seeded Sackville Kingfishers 71-46 as Renee MacKenzie scored 23. “It was the worst 25 point win I ever had,” said Lions coach Mike Tanner. “The score was not really indicative of how close the game was up until the last 8 to 12 minutes.” The Kingfishers included Kelly Fougere, Shelley O’Neill, Jennifer Edwards.

        In the last quarterfinal, the top-seeded Truro Cobequid Educational Centre Cougars defeated the 8th-seeded Halifax St. Patrick’s Fighting Irish 60-47 as Donna Retson scored 18. The Fighting Irish included Erika Leonard, Heather States, Signa Butler.

        In the semis, the top-seeded Truro Cobequid Educational Centre Cougars clipped the Dartmouth Prince Andrew Panthers 66-49 as Donna Retson scored 25 and Matie Livingstone 12. Jadranka Crnogorac led the Panthers with 11.

        In the other semi, the Coxheath Riverview Rural Royals dumped the Halifax Queen Elizabeth Lions 57-46 ad Eva Al-Khoury scored 23. “This was the best game the girls have ever played,” Royals coach Ron Shaw told the Halifax Daily News. “Defence won the game. We got a 100 per cent effort by everybody.”

        In the bronze medal match, the host Halifax Queen Elizabeth Lions defeated the Dartmouth Prince Andrew Panthers 88-70.

        In the final, a repeat of the 1991 title match, the top-seeded Truro Cobequid Educational Centre Cougars captured their second consecutive crown by dumping the Coxheath Riverview Rural Royals 51-39 as Donna Retson scored 25 and Toni MacAfee 12. Cobequid led 25-21 at the half. “Well, to be honest with you, having it over is a relief,” Cougars coach Mike McKay told the Halifax Daily News. “Now, we can relax. The last month, you’re just building, building up to this moment. It’s a total relief and a release of energy.” Janice Moseychuck led the Royals with 15. Eva Al-Khoury added 14.
