Organizers moved to an eight-team draw. The province is divided into four regions: Highland; Alma Northumberland Regional Nighthawks; Capital and Western. Two teams from each regional play in the provincial tourney.
In the quarterfinals, the Halifax Queen Elizabeth Lions opened with a 53-18 win over Coxheath Riverview Rural Royals as Karen Maessen scored 17. The Lions led 22-4 at the half.

In the semis, the Halifax Queen Elizabeth Lions whipped the Dartmouth Spartans 55-39 as Karen Maessen scored 22 and Liz Hampden 10. Dartmouth was paced by Debbie Lawrence and Carol Rosenthal with 14 and 13 points, respectively.
In the other semi, the Truro Cobequid Educational Centre Cougars defeated the Lockeport Regional Green Wave 35-34 as Kathy Bryan scored 22 and Joanne Richards 11. Patty Langille led Lockeport with 13.
In the final, the Halifax Queen Elizabeth Lions took a 10-point lead at the half and defeated the Truro Cobequid Educational Centre Cougars 48-40. The Lions were paced by tourney MVP Karen Maessen’s 16 points. Chris Buckle added 16, while Elizabeth Hampton scored 12 and Karen Clarke 4. Queen Elizabeth led 15-14 at quarter. The Cougars were led by Kathy Bryan 13, Judy Langille 2, Mary Richard 2, Cindy Paris 10, Kim Wood 4 and Joanne Richards 9. The Lions finished (32-2) on the season.
