In the provincial finals, the Halifax Queen Elizabeth Lions defeated the Bridgetown Regional Trojans 44-18; 37-27 (Total: 79-45).
In game one, the Lions pasted the Panthers 44-18 as Frances Cochran scored 18, Donna MacRae 14, Sheila Mason 10, Heather Hebb 1 and Suzanne Seeley 1. Iona Barteaux scored 11 to pace Bridgetown.
In game two, the Lions collected a 37-27 victory after taking a 23-14 lead at the half. Donna MacRae scored 13, Sheila Mason 12, Joan Williams 7, Heather Hebb 2, Suzanne Seeley 2 and Frances Cochrane 1. Bridgetown was led by Iona Barteaux’s 13 points. Gale Warren added 10 and Vicki Shaw 3.
