In the quarterfinals, held in Antigonish, the top-seeded Halifax St. Patrick’s Fighting Irish dumped the 8th-seeded Sydney Mines Memorial Composite Marauders 102-64. The Marauders included Ryan Cordy, Jack MacNeil, Kenneth MacQueen.

        The 2nd-seeded Greenwich Horton Griffins edged the 7th-seeded Antigonish Dr. John Hugh Gillis Royals 74-71. The Royals included Bryden Criss, Sean MacIntyre, Neil Stephen, Damien Gay.

        The 3rd-seeded Halifax Charles P. Allen Cheetahs dumped the 6th-seeded Dartmouth Prince Andrew Panthers 81-73. The Panthers included Matt Regan.

        The 4th-seeded Halifax Grammar Gryphons defeated the 5th-seeded Coxheath Riverview Rural Royals 83-53. The Royals (coached by Dennis Stapleton) included Bryden Criss, Sean MacIntyre.

        In the semis, the top-seeded Halifax St. Patrick’s Fighting Irish dumped the 4th-seeded Halifax Grammar Griffins 77-69 as Tyler Richards scored 22 and Andre Upshaw 20. Chad Smith led the Gryphons with 25.

        In the other semi, the 2nd-seeded Greenwich Horton Griffins clipped the Halifax Charles P. Allen Cheetahs 59-50 as Andrew Rogers scored 25. Joonha Hwang led the Cheetahs with 13.

        In the bronze medal match, the Halifax Grammar Gryphons edged the Halifax Charles P. Allen Cheetahs 63-61 as Matthew Miller scored 12. Mark Brien led the Cheetahs with 22. The Cheetahs also included Joonha Hwang, Alex Howlett, Adam Gronvigh, Greg Young, Brandon Burke, Tyler Penny.

In the final, the Halifax St. Patrick’s Fighting Irish defeated the 2nd-seeded Greenwich Horton Griffins 80-68 as Tyler Richards scored 19, tournament MVP Andre Upshaw 17 and David Carvery 15 to earn their first provincial title in 10 years. “The coach brought that (10-year drought) up in the locker room,” Richards told the Halifax Daily News. “We didn’t feel any pressure. We just went out there and did what we had to do. We left it all on the court.” Andrew Rogers led the Griffins with 23. It was the Fighting Irish’s 31st consecutive win. They finished the campaign (39-2).
