Provincial authorities discontinued the round robin tourney and went with a straight single knockout tournament.

        In the semis, the Bridgetown Regional Trojans defeated Truro Senior High 55-50 as Tommy Beattie scored 18, Howard Jackson 12 and David Marshall 10. Truro was led by Larry Archibald’s 19 points, Richard Jones 14 and Bob Piers 13.

In the other semi, the Halifax Queen Elizabeth Lions defeated New Waterford Mount Carmel 50-45 as Eric Durnford scored 18 and Barry Shakespeare 16. Mount Carmel was led by Bobby Mullins 16 points and Cordell Grahams’ 14.

        In the final, Tom Beattie scored 27, including 18 in the second half, to lead the Bridgetown Regional Trojans past the Halifax Queen Elizabeth Lions 58-45. The Trojans overcame a six-point deficit in final quarter to win by 13.

        The all-tournament team featured Tom Beatty (Bridgetown); Larry Archibald (Truro); Bob Mullins (Mount Carmel); Eric Durnford (Queen Elizabeth); and Howard Jackson (Bridgetown).
