At the request of a fan from the Territories, the following are the known results of the NWT Power Cager Tournament, which he holds to be the territorial high school championships. Inquiries to NWT School Sports and the NWT Power Corp regarding the distinctions between divisions (and other facets of the tournament’s history) have gone unanswered. What little information is available suggests that the “19AA” division is an age-based (under-19) category for ‘larger schools’, while “19A” is for ‘smaller’ schools. According the NWT Hansard, a Cager competition was held in 2006. It may well have started much earlier. NWT Power Corp did not respond to an inquiry as to when it began sponsoring the competition.
