In the other semi, the Placentia Laval Cavaliers edged the Carbonear Collegiate Sentinels 47-43.
In the final, the Placentia Laval Cavaliers dusted the Ferryland Baltimore Broncos 77-56. “During the last two weeks leading up to (the tournament), we’ve been in the gym practicing anywhere between four to five times a week just to work on all the little things the girls wanted to work on, which definitely helped in the long run,” coach Melanie Whyte told the Compass.
