In the other semi, the Arnold’s Cove Tricentia Academy Timberwolves stunned the Deer Lake Elwood Lakers 79-61. “That particular game the boys played so well I felt they could compete with anybody in the province. Everyone played as a team and things were just flowing in that game,” Timberwolves coach Dion Piercey told the Clarenville Packet. “The boys were calling their plays and had complete control. Nothing rattled them. … It was almost like a championship game and it took everything out of the players, both emotionally and physically.”
In the final, the Mobile Monarchs stomped the Arnold’s Cove Tricentia Academy Timberwolves 73-48 as Sean Drew scored 32. Trevor Ivany added 13 and William Tee 13. “A silver medal finish at this level is a big accomplishment for the boys” Timberwolves coach Dion Piercey told the Clarenville Packet.
