In the final, the Clarenville Cougars defeated the Goulds St. Kevin’s Mavericks 91-59 as Ian Best scored 38, including eight treys. The Mavericks led 40-39 at the half but Kevin Manning hit four treys to ignite a 34-8 Cougars run to start the second half. Jon Williams added 21, along with 12 assists, for the Cougars. Andrew Pearce notched 13, along with 19 boards, while tournament MVP Manning scored 30 on 7-9 from the floor, 4-8 from the arc and 4-4 from the line. Manning delivered an inspirational speech to his teammates at the half and then led the Cougars to a dominant 34-8 run in the third quarter, according to the Clarenville Packet.
