In the final, the host Corner Brook Regional Titans clubbed the St. John’s Gonzaga Regional Vikings 94-55 as Chris Hughes scored 22, Nathan Barker 21, along with 13 boards, Chris Dobbin 20, along with 17 boards and 10 blocks, and Tyler Wise 17. “Everybody was there,” Hughes told the Western Star. “ It was just a great moment.” Andrew Tuck and Matt McCrowe each scored 13 to lead the Vikings. “It seemed like no team could touch us at times,” Hughes said. “I didn’t expect us to play that well. It was great how it turned out.” Nathan Barker said “especially after losing twice in a row. We wanted to come back stronger and stronger. … It was probably the happiest I’ve ever been. It was the first time our team was really super excited out on the court after a win.” Barker said the squad’s inside-outside balance and maturity proved the difference. “Especially after losing twice in a row (in the provincial finals). We wanted to come back stronger and stronger.”
