        In Gold division round-robin play: The Corner Brook Titans dumped the Avondale Roncalli Central Cardinals 74-65. “We played hard,” said Titans coach Bill Allan. “We were a little nervous, but we had a good run there in the first half and the boys really gave it their all. This was the first time we’ve beaten Roncalli. We lost to them two or three times before, so we gave it our best shot tonight.” The Titans took control quickly on solid shooting by Mark Tavenor, who scored 27. They led 40-30 at half. Roncalli rallied within five in the final quarter but the Titans held on for the win. “We were nervous for sure,” said Titan Jonathan Allan. “It’s a lot different … there’s a lot more pressure to perform.
