In the semis, the Mount Carmel St. Catherines Eagles defeated the Corner Brook Herdman Huskies 89-72.
In the other semi, the Goulds St. Kevin’s Mavericks defeated the St. John’s Gonzaga Vikings 64-49. In the final, the Salmonier St. Catherine’s Eagles clipped the Goulds St. Kevin’s Mavericks 74-68 as 6-8 forward Stephen Singleton scored 25. Josh Rowe led the Mavericks with 22. The Eagles won the 4A crown in the only the second time they’d entered the 4A draw in school history. The small St. Mary’s school had only 190 students.
