In round-robin play, the St. John’s Booth Memorial Braves defeated the St. John’s Holy Heart of Mary Highlanders 81-62 as Brian Cantwell scored 13, Jason Peddle 12 and Michael Shute 12. Colin McNeil responded with 31 for Holy Heart.
In the semis, the St. John’s Booth Memorial Braves defeated the Deer Lake Elwood Lakers 65-48. The Lakers included Charles Barker.
In the other semi, Trepassey Stella Maris Mystics defeated the St. John’s Holy Heart of Mary Highlanders 57-52.
In the final, Sean Fryer scored 23 to lead the St. John’s Booth Memorial Braves past the Trepassey Stella Maris Mystics 65-60 in overtime. Booth had been ahead 25-19 at the half but the game was tied at 51 in regulation play. John Devereaux paced Stella Maris with 20 points.
