In Blue division play: …………………………………………………… Final pool standings: Corner Brook Regina (2-0); St. John’s Bishop’s (1-1); Placentia Laval (0-2). Alternately reported that St. John’s Prince of Wales was in the draw.  

In the semis, the St. John’s Brother Rice Celtics nipped the St. John’s Bishops Barons 50-47.

In the other semi, the Corner Brook Regina Knights defeated the St. John’s Booth Memorial Braves 76-73.

In the final, the St. John’s Brother Rice Celtics won their fourth straight crown by dumping the Corner Brook Regina Knights 72-65. Jim Morrisey scored 20 to lead Brother Rice. Peter Sparrow added 16 and John Blake 15. Brother Rice took an 11-point lead and then withstood a Regina rally. Corner Brook was paced by Jim Hughes with 34 points. Frank Griffen added 13.
