In the southwest regional quarterfinals, held in Quispamsis, the Saint John St. Malachy’s Memorial Saints clubbed the Oromocto Blues 77-23.
In the other quarterfinal, the Fredericton Leo Hayes Lions clipped the Rothesay Redhawks 51-42.
In the southwest semis, the Saint John St. Malachy’s Memorial Saints dusted the Fredericton Black Kats 83-48.
In the other semi, the Quispamsis Kennebecasis Valley Crusaders whipped the Fredericton Leo Hayes Lions 65-34.
In the bronze medal match, the Fredericton Leo Hayes Lions dispatched the Fredericton Black Kats 70-61. The Black Kats (coach Kevin Daley, assistant Anthony Ashe, assistant Katie Daley) included Ava Sprague, Rachel Seeley, Abby Quinn, Allie Vatour, Meghan Hume, Marley Carson, Addy Everett-Vail, Hannah Howland, Kaitlyn Seeley, Maryn Mombourquette, Mikala Scott and Abby Wright.
In the southwest final, the Quispamsis Kennebecasis Valley Crusaders spanked the Saint John St. Malachy’s Memorial Saints 63-45.
There was no northeast regional.
In the provincial and sectional quarterfinals, held in Quispamsis, the Moncton Harrison Trimble Trojans (2nd, northeast) defeated the Fredericton Leo Hayes Lions (3rd, Southwest) 47-40. The Lions included Grace Lenihan, Ella Simmons.
In the sectional quarterfinal, held in Riverview, the Saint John St. Malachy’s Memorial Saints (2nd, southwest) defeated the Moncton Bernice MacNaughton Highlanders (3rd, northeast) 75-72. The Highlanders (coach Jeff Mowatt, assistant Courtney Bulman, assistant Camarah Foster) included Olivia Mowat, Mara Millanes, Maria Vizcaino, Sydney Wood, Ryver Calidguid, Aino Salo, Ava Dixon, Sierra Hansen, Lauren Aucoin, Isabella Bocca, Lauren Baster and Amelia Upright.
In the provincial semis and sectional final, held in Quispamsis, the Moncton Harrison Trimble Trojans (2nd, Northeast) stunned the host Kennebecasis Valley Crusaders (1st, southwest) 68-66.
In the other provincial semi, held in Riverview, the Saint John St. Malachy’s Memorial Saints (2nd, Southwest) dispatched the Riverview Royals (1st, Northeast) 70-62.
In the provincial final, the Saint John St. Malachy’s Memorial Saints clipped the Moncton Harrison Trimble Trojans 66-55. The Saints led 17-12, 41-20 and 54-38 at the quarters. Eva Knobloch was chosen player of the game for the Saints, while Jill Campbell earned the laurels for the Trojans.
