In the quarterfinals, the top-seeded Fredericton Black Kats torched the 8th-seeded Miramichi Valley Pulamoo 90-20 as Swift scored 22, Hogan 15, Kidney 10, Jackie Fleiger 10, Robertson 9, MacFadyen 8, Clark 6, Norman 6, Scholten 2 and Jodie Fleiger 2. Jennifer Wheaton led the Pulamoo with 8. Tammy Kinney added 6, Tanya Innes (Inness?) 4 and Mary Jane Haire 2, while Catherine Branch and Carla Mason were scoreless.

       The 4th-seeded Quispamsis Kennebecasis Valley Crusaders defeated the 5th-seed Riverview Royals 55-49 as Kierstead scored 18, Ruddock 12, Fairweather 10, Shipley 20 and Robertson 5. Carrie Anderson led the Royals with 15. Carrie MacCallum added 12, Heather Clarke 9, Jennifer Dougan 5, Angela Horsman 5 and Andrea Malone 3.

       The 2nd-seeded Saint John Greyhounds dispatched the 7th-seeded Moncton Purple Knights x-x. The Purple Knights included Sharon Wetmore, Kim Crawford, Heidi Staples.

       In the last quarterfinal, the 3rd-seeded Miramichi James M. Hill Tommies defeated the 6th-seeded Moncton Harrison Trimble Trojans x-x. The Trojans included Julie Duff, Liane Pierce, Angela Goguen, Laura Wilbur, Jackie Mowat, Jennifer Turgeon, Esther Gordon, Allison Strait, Lori Mowbray, Joanne Duff, Jacqueline Mowat.

       In the semis, the top-seeded Fredericton Black Kats mauled the 4th-seeded Quispamsis Kennebecasis Valley Crusaders 88-39 as Jackie Fleiger scored 24, Swift 16, Norman 10, Belyea 9, MacFadyen 8, Robertson 7, Hogan 6, Scholten 3, Clark 3 and Jodi Fleiger 2. Ruddock led the Crusaders with 10. Shipley added 9, Kierstead 8, Fairweather 6, Tonge 2, Lawson 2 and Robertson 2.

       In the other semi, the 2nd-seeded Saint John Greyhounds spanked the 3rd-seeded Miramichi James M. Hill Tommies 58-36 as MacIntyre scored 20, Harris 13. Ring 10, Booker 8, Stanley 4 and Vaughan 3. T Lorden led the Tommies with 12. Keating added 9, Wood 8 and Whalen 7.

In the final, the Fredericton Black Kats defeated the Saint John Greyhounds 70-47 as Swift scored 18, player of the game Norman 12, MacFadyen 11, Robertson 8, Hogan 8, Clark 5, Fleiger 4 and Belyea 4. Swift told the Fredericton Daily Gleaner that “we came back in the second half and played like we should.” Black Kats coach Steve O’Rourke said “all year, the girls had showed so much composure. But they were very tight in the first half. We ran into some foul trouble and the girls were playing tentatively. I told them (at the half) we couldn’t play much worse and Saint John couldn’t play much better. That we were still up by six points.” The Black Kats finished (36-0) on the season and capped a girls/boys double at the AAA level. Ring led the Greyhounds with 16. MacIntyre added 13, Harris 10, Vaughan 6 and Stanley 2.
