The top-seeded Fredericton Black Kats whipped the 8th-seeded Riverview Royals 88-49 as Oldham scored 26, Saunders 15, K Smith 12, Jeffrey 9, Rainville 6, McFadgen 6, N Smith 4, Scholten 4, Taylor 2 and Eagle 2. In the last quarterfinal, the 2nd-seeded Quispamsis Kennebecasis Valley Crusaders spanked the 7th-seeded Moncton Purple Knights 73-37 as M Shipley scored 15, Jackson 14, Gregg 11, Millican 10, McPhee 8, Stupley 5, Chappell 4, Friars 2, K Robertson 2, Ruddick 1 and C Robertson 1. Jennifer Mitton paced the Purple Knights with 12. In the final, the Bathurst Phantoms defeated spanked the 2nd-seeded Quispamsis Kennebecasis Valley Crusaders 55-37 as Cindy Flynn scored 28, Chrissy Flynn, 9, Firlotte 6, Virret 6 and Jamieson 5. Cindy Flynn broke open a 32-32 draw with a 14-point outburst in the second half. “I was really off the first half,” she told the Saint John Telegraph-Journal. “In the second half, we went strictly man-to-man on them and it got us into the tempo of our running game and we just took off.” Phantoms coach Kelly Maher told the Fredericton Daily Gleaner that “in the first half, we were going from a man to a zone defence after we scored. Our intensity was slow. So we changed to an all-man defence. That picked up the girls intensity and changed the whole flow of the game.” Jackson led the Crusaders with 11. McPhee added 10, Millican 6, Friars 2, Gregg 2, Chappelle 2, Robertson 2 and M Shipley 2.
